Behavioral Objective:
The students will participate in a discussion of specific colors around
the room and some of their favorite colors.
Materials:
Markers and
white board
Activities:
Introduce the lesson by talking about the many colors around us. Ask
the students to name some of their favorite colors and some objects that are
the color that they picked. For example, “The sky is blue," “The ball
is green.” Using the white board, make a list of some of the favorite
colors of the children. (1) red (2) purple (3) baby blue. Then
say the one-syllable words slowly, and say the two-syllable words faster,
etc.
Process:
-
Say the words as a class.
-
Divide the class into three
sections. Assign a different word to each group.
-
Say the words in three groups
starting with the one-syllable word. Layer all three words.
-
Add body percussion.
-
Drop words, body percussion
alone.
