The student communicates clearly by putting thoughts and feelings into
spoken words. The student is expected to use vocabulary to describe
clearly ideas, feelings, and experiences.
Music

The student responds to and evaluates music and musical performance.
The student is expected to identify higher/lower, louder/softer,
faster/slower, and same/different in musical performances.
Behavioral Objective:
The students will use vocabulary to describe their favorite thing to do
on the playground.
Materials:
Markers and
white board
Activities:
Introduce the lesson by showing your students a picture of the playground.
Tell the students what you like to do on the playground. Ask the
children what they like to do on the playground. Encourage the
children to talk with each other about their experiences. Using the
wipe board, write down the things the children like to do on the playground.
Remember to get several different syllable words.
Process:

Say the words as a class.

Divide the class into three
sections. Assign a different word to each group.

Say the words in the three
groups, starting with the one syllable word. Layer all three words.

Add instrument percussion.

Drop words, body percussion
alone.

Evaluation:
Observe to see that every child used vocabulary to describe their favorite
playground activities. Ask them to identify the difference between
high/low, loud, soft, and same/different sounds.
